I''m going to build my first PC :) and wanted to ask you guys for some help, advice or just general comments. All are much appreciated!

These are the spec's so far...

GPU - Gigabyte GV-R695OC-1GD
MOBO - Asus P8P67 LE Rev3
CPU - Intel i5 2500K 1155 OEM
RAM - Corsair Veng White 8GB DDR3 1600 1.35v
HS/F - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus
CASE - CoolerMaster CM Storm Enforcer
PSU - CoolerMaster GX 650W PSU

*I'm not going to purchase a HDD until the prices drop... or I may consider SSD.

How does it look? Is there anything you would change?

Also I was wondering if you guys could help me decide on a motherboard... mainly what to go for?... i had these in mind:

Asus P8P67 LE Rev3 or Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1

The ''Asus P8P67 LE Rev3'' seems very good value for money. I'm just not sure if it's worth spending the extra £40 on the ''Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1'' when I could put the £40 towards more RAM or ''something'' else.

Cheers for taking the time to read this.

looks fine, just a few things to look at.

would you consider the Asus P8Z68-V LX ?, allows you to overclock like the p67 series, but also allows use of the processor's on board gfx.

case wise if thats what you like fair enough, have you had a look at the bit fenix gaming case and the zalman z9 ?

maybe pay a bit extra for the retail cpu, has extra warrenty and a spare cooler.

mp260767 - thanks for replying mate! ha... looks like i'm not too far away from you. Nr Shrewsbury here!

Let me clarify that I'm a noob ;) I don't really get the P8Z68-V LX comment, it allows you to use the onboard GPU, as in, along side the 6950? will that give you much of a boost in performance?

fowler002 - Cheers mate! I have read up on another forum and seems like you are right... its just when i was looking at benchmarks the 1gb seemed to do just as well... but i guess future games will be better with the 2gb version!

thanks again!

ah nice one :D

far as i'm aware its used on its own, benefit of the z68 and h61/h67 chipsets.

gives you the ability to use it in case you have gfx issues, and you think the gfx card or monitor might be faulty etc, u can use the onboard to confirm if the monitor/cable is ok.
