I ve had Sky fibre broadband for about 2 weeks , bit disappointed with speeds with download speeds at 36.90 Mbps and uploads speeds at 9.53 Mbps

Can anybody recommend me a better wireless router , would this give me a better speed , i am just using a basic sky wireless router

It depends on your Wi-Fi adapter and router. I get about 70-80Mb on 144Mb wireless N (VM hub) and 150Mb on wireless AC using a Netgear 7500 wireless AC router (just got it today).

If that's their standard fibre (rather than Pro) then 36.90/9.53 is about as much as you'd expect.

If it's just the internet connection speed you care about then test using a cabled connection and compare that to the wireless. You probably aren't missing much.

Are you testing wireless or are you tested through a cabled in connection?
