Help, what have I killed?!

Right, just got home.
Tried pluging in both my working and not working HD, only saw the working one.
Turned off, unpluged my working one and pluged in not working one. Would not boot to bios but got posting screen.
Turned off, unpluged not working one and pluged in working one, would not even boot to posting screen.
Unpluged everything and nothing again! After 3 restarts it posts saying bios checksum error!

When I reboot and get into bios all my memory volts and timings are gone.
Also other bios settings have gone, eg sound card off, ide controller off, firewire off etc.
Its lost all my bios settings.
This is leading me to think mobo borked or bios corrupt and needs upgrade!

Oh, and Big Wayne.
Thank you for your interest and help. Its good to bounce ideas off someone and know I am working somewhat logically!
So thank you again.

No problem, almost sounds time to clear CMOS, remove battery and disconnect ATX cables and leave the board for an hour to calm down 100% before booting again and loading set-up defaults . . .

I've never had a b0rked BIOS or motherboard before so not sure what the symptoms may be, I've had ye old motherboard before with bad caps (leaking brown) that produced strange errors, I've also had a good board before but with bad battery that didn't remember any settings.

Good luck anyway, sorry I couldn't help more!
