trying a new thread, i am looking for a new gaming spec PC, looking to spend upto 1000.. Will i get a VR machine for this, is it needed?

read through that still non the wiser ;), guy at work said go for skylake not haskell, but do i go i5 or i7 and spend more on the graphics card? memory min 16gig these days?
