hi guys

its been along time since i have even looked at making a new rig

so long that i will be starting from scratch so i need some help when working out what parts to get

now i looked in the store and have seen some cool looking stuff.

i am after a 4core cpu (prob about 2.4 so i can clock to about 3.0)
about 4-8gb of ram
(want option to upgrade to more ram as and when need it)
gfx well some think that will do its job the better the better must suport duels (triple monitors be nice)

about 500gb hard drive with raid so can go up 2 1tb when i get more money

and a cd dvd burner nothing to posh done need blu-ray or anything lol.

oo yer money i have £800 to spend will go over a little if needed but the cheaper the better lol.

so thanks for any help you can give guys

o yer also case blue lights always nice lol

Came up with this before your post, has a decent aftermarket cooler, 8gb ram and a good power supply. Obviously the case be changed for your preference the card is a gts although if needed go for the 520w power supply to cut down costs.

EDIT: what are you actually using this rig for? i mean is 8gb ram actually necessary?

thats grate what would u recommend as an upgrade to the gfx card if i wanna go for over the 512mb?

edit:

i will be using it for 3d modeling and animation as i take cgi at university

o and gaming as i missed out a lot of games by switching to mac so time for windows to win me back
