hi guys okay i have an asus ax800xtpe that i brought from ocuk tailend of last year, would i see a big diff going for the 7800gs as my mobo is agp only ?

Welcome to the forums. :)

Yeah you should see a good boost in performance going to the 7800 GS, the 7800 GS fits between the 6800 GS, and the 7800 GT on the performance scale. :)
 
Honestly dont bother & save the money untill you go PCIE. The X800XTPE is a great card for AGP & close to what the 7800GS will perform like.

Seriously dont switch to another AGP card.
