I’ve just replaced the CPU and motherboard in my son’s PC. Never done this before. Followed all the instructions really carefully. Pretty sure I reconnected every cable in the right place (took photos before just in case) It powers up (lights and fan work on motherboard) but that’s it. No signal to monitors. Doesn’t seem to connect to keyboard either (usually lights up)
Where do I even start with troubleshooting? I’m regretting starting now.

MSI pro H610M-E motherboard
Intel core i5 12400F processor
GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card (reinstalled in the new motherboard)
Reinstalled previous memory too
Monitor is plugged into graphics card

Upgraded from i5 6th gen

How do I update bios? Was I supposed to do this beforehand?

Update and a new issue!
When I got to trying to sort the bent pin it looked like part was missing so I cut my losses and got a new motherboard.
Now its stuck on the green light which is a boot error. Computer won’t boot at all, not even to bios. I’ve checked the cables are properly connected, tried different SATA ports, tried another cable. Still the same. I’m out of ideas so came back here to see if anyone had any ideas.

I’ve managed to get the bios screen up now but it just keeps cycling back to Bios and isn’t booting from the hard drive. Hard drive is top priority in settings

Yeah it’s booted windows from the hard drive in legacy mode and we’re all set up now. Only issue is it’s not recognising the second monitor which is plugged to the hdmi port in the motherboard. So in the grand scale of things now it’s minor but just need to figure that one out.

The i5-12400F series doesn't have an integrated graphics adapter in - the F suffix denotes no graphics. So onboard/motherboard graphics ports won't work. Is there another free socket on the graphics card? You can get DisplayPort to HDMI cables or adapters as it's a passive conversion (just a different pin selection from the socket).
Thanks! Just found out the same from google about the F suffix so going to get a new cable because there’s only one hdmi port in the graphics card
