Ok have son has an overclockers PC with Asus mobo .. not been used for a bit but used to have a pair of speakers attached with sound.
Now bought some new 2:1 speakers and attached them up and nothing
I know these speakers work as put them on my pc and fine. When going into control panel and looking at sounds it says there is no default sound system.. and no option to choose anything. I have gone into the bios and tried to find the onboard sound to see if it was enabled but cannot find it under any section. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix it .. If I go in device manager.. there are lots of question marks in the PCI menu but I cant find out what the ? marks are related to or what the system is looking for..
Sorry if this sounds a bit hit and miss but at a bit of a loss as to what to do or try next..
