I have a B 450 A Pro max mobo.
And an Artic Freezer Liquid 2 240 cooler.

There is one cable (4 pin I think) which I plugged into CPU_FAN 1 on the Mobo.
Fans come on. Ive not been into the bios yet, so I havent set anything up.

There is another cable. Im not sure where to plug it in.
I also note that the coolers RGB lights are not on yet.

The other cable is slightly different.
- It has space for 4 holes
- In a row, it looks like:
2 holes, no hole where there is plastic, and another hole

- One of the holes is covered with plastic
- The plastic end-bit, is slightly thicker than the other cable.

Anyway, I dont know where to plug this second cable. There are no connectors on the mobo which have 4 pins and one of those 4 pins missing.

New to this. What am I missing?
Thanks for your help guys, appreciate it!

That's the argb cable, which need to connect to the argb on your mobo, which will then control your rgb on the fans

Your mobo has a jrgb1 header in top right corner and manual says up to 12v . From above the argb cant connect to 12v so you will need an argb controller as per instillation instructions above

A quick search and some people have used the jrgb1 header to control the argb, but I cant advise whether to try as from the arctic support page it clearly has a cross next to the one with 12v, as argb is 5v iirc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Really helpful, thanks.
Ive decided to run without RGB. My first choice was the artic 240 without RGB but it was out of stock.
I know what to do if I change my mind - thanks for the help, appreciate it.
