Help, Which memory upgrade? (Ensuring I get the compatible sticks)

Hello,

I have a OCUK pre built system and this is the motherboard

GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 - Gigabyte I believe.

Now the Crucial memory checker says I can get the following types:

DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-14900, DDR3 PC3-14400, DDR3 PC3-17000

Im after 2 sticks (8GB each) so is the following going to work in my machine and if so, is there a potentially better fit?

Have a look at the memory below, anything over 1600mhz has little performance gains.

Will you be using this with your current memory?

I believe my current memory is the 10666 stuff, ive 8GB of Kingston Hyper-X... so ill remove that and stick in 16GB of faster memory.

Just want to make the most of my system and any little performance enhancement I can get for Planetside 2.. ill be happy

I dont think you will notice any performance enhancement doing the memory upgrade.

What is the rest of your system specs?

580GTX Sli
256 SSD

Those are the main bits and of course 8GB Ram.

Your system is pretty decent and 8gb ram is usually plenty for gaming.

Personally changing the ram will offer very little, unless you want to benchmark the ram / system.
