I had Windows 7 working perfectly last night. Today I came in from work and my pc wouldn't post, its in AHCI mode and it had an error detecting my 1.5TB drive. I pulled that out and reset, booted fine this time. I re-inserted the drive in Windows and it detected it but didn't finished installing it, I pulled it out then it said it finished so put it back in and it was working fine. MSN came up with some install thing before it opened. Later on I restarted and again I had an error detecting my HDD, pulled it out and Windows said it hadn't shut down properly and gave me 2 options.

Launch startup repair (recommended)
Start windows normally.

If I try to start normally I get the grey bar at the bottom the same as you get when you first start an installation as it loads from the disc then the machine restarts.

Startup repair does the grey bar then comes back to the same screen.

I can't get any further, tried taking my overclock off and its the same.

Any idea's before I throw it all out the window?

Thanks

I just used the W7 install disk to attempt a repair.

The first time it found disk errors and said it was fixing them, restarted and it was still the same.

I ran the repair again and it found an error but said it cant repair it, this is what it says..

Re-install time then?

Is it a bad idea to use AHCI mode? All I seem to get is problems with it.

edit - found another screen that says

Boot critical file c:\clfs.sys is corrupt

But it failed to repair it.
