Hey guys,

I upgraded my ALX yesterday with an ASUS Formula II mobo, 4GB of Corsair RAM, a quad-core AMD CPU, and a Samsung F1 HDD. During the upgrade, I restarted the PC many times with no problems at all, and all was fine until this morning, when I switched the PC on, and it booted into Windows. Now the colours are being displayed in psychedelic black, red, green and blue, and what looks like to be incredibly low bit. I can't make anything out on screen, and my mouse is being represented as a white square.

I thought it might have been a problem with my SLi confifuration, so I unplugged the bridge between the two cards, just to see if it would make a difference, but it didn't.

Any ideas what's going on here, guys???

What' an ALX?:o

One of Alienware's line of gaming rigs.

Tried trying each card individually? Booting in safe mode?

Completely forgot about Safe Mode - Thanks for the reminder! I just booted into Safe Mode, plugged in a dongle with my graphics drivers on, then re-installed them, and now everything looks OK. I'm thinking Windows Update installed the old 8800 GTX drivers it was trying to get me to install last night, and screwed everything up... At least, I'm hoping that's what it was...
