I was just playing Live for speed S2 on my laptop and pressed Alt + F4 to exit the game - my screen just went completely black... I ctrl + alt + delete'd and couldn't see anything.
I eventually rebooted my laptop after a while and it got to the Windows login screen, but I couldn't see the actual login section to put my password in. I could only see the blue background and nothing else at all... If I move my mouse to the left of the screen it is able to go right off the screen - as if the resolution is completely wrong.
I managed to just type in my password anyway even without seeing the login box and press enter and luckily Windows loaded up OK, but all I can see is the Wallpaper - no icons, etc. I can right click and try to go to the nVidia control panel to see what the resolution is set to, but I can't even see the nVidia control panel, probably because it has opened somewhere else in the screen, but the resolution is messed up or something...
The only things I have done today is installed Kaspersky antivirus 7 and play LFS - I think LFS has probably caused this because it happened as soon as I tried to alt+F4 out of the game.
I have started it up in safe mode and now I can see the icons, start bar, etc. but the mouse is very slow.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I am trying a system restore now to when I first installed Kaspersky, will see what happeneds.
