HELP - Wireless works but LAN doesn't?

Ok guys yesterday all of a sudden my lan internet connection died and gave me a Local only connection, however i'm able to connect via wireless to the same router.
I have tried different ethernet ports and different cables that I know work and I still have no joy, i'm really at the end of my tether here. When I connect via network cable I get local only connection, however I can't login to my router via the local connection.
I'm on vista and it's just saying that it's a unidentified network

problem resolved, was a dns issue my router decided to erase my dns settings.
