Help with 1155 chipsets

I'm looking to buy a second hand 1155 motherboard for a 3770.

H61 seems to be the most popular and cheapest.
Should I be patient and wait for a H77 board?

From what I've read, I need H77 for 1600mhz ram?

The system will be a media server and backup solution if it makes a difference.

I would go with H77 as H61 was released for the older sandybridge and may need a bios update to support your CPU.

Any 1155 board should be able to run 1600 ram with an ivy bridge CPU. 60 series boards might need the bios flashing with an older CPU to recognise it. A Z or P will allow higher ram speeds.

This I didn't know. I thought I'd be stuck at 1333.
