Stone,
Hi Guys, At work I have a Fujitsu Primergy Tx100 S3 E3-1220 tower server. And have been playing with the trial of server 2012 for a couple of months
I have set it up as a DC with accounts for each user via AD DS,
we use EQ Business management software.

At the moment I've got 2x500Gb HDD's in raid 1 for the OS
and 2x500Gb HDD's in raid 1 for Storage and shares. and a 1TB external backup drive

There are 5 PC's
3 with windows 7 pro
1 with windows 8 pro
and one with XP pro
which will be logged on to the domain

also 2 CNC Routers which just need to access a shared folder for .dxf files over the network

Im thinking about buying Server 2012 Essentials (would this be the best route to go down?)
The EQ software is licensed for two users and is installed on the server and a directors PC, and at the moment I remote in to the server to use the software, this seems wrong to me but its how my boss had it set up.

What I would like is to have centralized client backup (which i cant seem to figure out how to do (server side.)
Print management
Remote access to the EQ software application if possible
And Remote domain access

Am I going down the right path guys

Also.. will i need to buy CAL licences
and i Bought Kaspersky small business 1x server and 5x pc licenses but it keeps causing the server to BSOD so I've taken it off is there anything else I should try until kaspersky supports the os

Also is it worth partitioning the OS drive and using the extra space for something else
