Hey all

Looking for a great moniter for lots of gaming and movie watching. Currently my favourite is the..

Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey (MO-009-DE)
£649.95 £649.95

Heard however that there is a little bit of a banding issue  Not sure how significant it really is tho.

My system with have either a 7950 or Crossfire X1900Xt ATI so def powerful enough to handle the 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Please let me know of any advise or alternative moniters u guys can suggest :)

Thankyou!

Cjay

Hi there,

The banding issue is solved I think, but some people still get it. Check out the offical Dell forum for more info.

Other contenders are sparse, as there aint a huge market for 24inch widescreens!

But check out -

Samsung 244T (Some reports of input lag, but only "some").

Eizo S2410W

Apple Cinema 23inch

If I was you I would wait for the new BenQ display, apparently its going to have a lot of new features, like eliminating ghosting and such!

Good luck!

I have an A02 revision and have only tried it with desktop mode so far. I've had it side by side with my 19" LG LCD and loaded up a few gradients in photoshop and I can't see a thing wrong with it

Any idea when that will be out as i'm on the lookout for a new monitor soon? Also, what kind of price can we expect?

Thanks

I would love a side by side review of the Samsung Dell and Benq

I realise the Sammy and Dell have the same panel (not sure about the Benq) but the electronics are probably different so this is as much a factor especially when you are spending £800 or so

I am hoping to get one of these early August, so I hope the Benq is released and reviewed very soon
