Last time I did a watercooled system I started from a Koolance watercooled case... and it was a long time ago.

Now I have a thermaltake level 10 GT "Snow Edition"
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
Intel i7 3820
4x4gb Corsair Dominator RAM
Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X 6GB

2 Corsair Force 3 60GB SSD's
1 Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD

I am looking to watercool just the CPU and possibly the motherboard, considering the grfx card only arrived this morning, i'm 1) not looking to replace it, b) not looking for additional cooling for it either.

Now I know that the Level 10 GT will take either a 120 Rad or a 240.

I was thinking I'd put a 240 in, mostly just for the sake of it.

I've been looking at this for the CPU
and this for the Motherboard

I don't really want a reservoir that is a visible drive bay mount, and the window in the side of the case isn't that bug, so I'd rather have one that fits in the drive bays, but remains hidden.

In terms of the pump, I'm really not sure what I should be looking at.

Money isn't really an object in terms of this; It's just something I want to do, so it's going to get done regardless of cost.

Can anyone help me?

I use EK DCP pumps, good price and decent specs - you need to mount them on foam though to cut out vibrations, though this is true of any pump

I would consider an XSPC 240 crossflow rad which will make your tube routing easier

the XSPC bay res is also quite understated, they even do one with a built in pump which will be fine for a small loop like this, not sure how noisy it is though

failing that, any small tube res should fit in a drive bay, or on top of the pump just using a double ended fitting with no tubing

bitspower fittings are expensive, but they do look nice

only you will be able to tell what fittings you need based on the positions of things in the case, you can either use elbows or 45 degree fittings might be better in some places

annoyingly, you might be better off getting everything else and doing a dry run with tubing before ordering the fittings as once you get everything else roughly in place it will be much easier to visualise how it will all fit together

I never do this and I always end up needing extra fittings because I don't quite have enough elbows or 45's to get the tubing to go the way I want it to :D
but then I buy much cheaper fittings so it's much less of a commitment to just hop back on and order a few

tubing is also quite cheap per metre and it's always worth having an extra meter or 2 on hand in case you make any mistakes or decide to re-route things

Yeah, I've been coming to that conclusion.

What size tubing should I use?

I personally like 10/13mm (ID OD) because it's flexible enough to allow some bends without kinking too much, some people like big fat tubing, again it comes down to personal preference, it makes next to no difference performance wise

So.... I placed my order.

Ram blocks x2
RIVE block
EX supremacy CPU
XSPX Cross waterblock
D5 pump + XSPC res
Monsoon fittings
and 10/13 pipes

+ Braiding for all my cables... (that's going to be some fun evenings....)

Oh and an additional 16gb ram taking the total to 32... :)

Is a 240mm rad going to be enough to cool the ram, CPU and mobo?

I have 2 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1450rpm fans to put on it...

Also should I get a flowmeter / Temp sensor for my system; Also Can i plug this into my rampage IV Extreme?

Should i also get a fan controller, or can i rely on my Rampage IV Exteme to monitor this for me?

Thanks in advance...
