Well i've been playing around with the speed of my 3700+ and I managed to get it to 2.35 without changing anything else (temperature is low at around 29-33)

Ideally i'd like to get it to about 2.6 but havent got a clue as to what I need to change in the bios :/

I have an Asus A8N-VM.

Help Appreciated,
Sjoehanson

Set the FSB to 250
HTT to 4x
Lock the PCI/AGP/PCIe buses.
Set the voltage manually to 1.4V

Depending on your RAM you may need a 166/333 divider. If you have PC3200 it might clock to 500mhz, otherwise stick a divider on it.

That will get you to 2.75Ghz, then make sure it's stable!

Thanks for the response :)
I cant seem to find a HTT multiplier, under what over guises might it be? :/

I lowered the ram speed to 333 and managed to get it to 2.5 but it wont post if its any higher. Under the HTT options I only have options like
800
8(up)8(down)

etc. Not really very good at this :x

If your using a divider then run your multi at 10 (If your mem will do 225ish) and just keep upping the HTT (FSB) 5 mhz at a time and run prime for an hour. If it fails then up the Volts and try again. Best off reading the sticky as it gives a good ggrounding on OCing.

The HTT setting is under CPU Configuration. Called Hypertransport Frequency.

This setting should stay overall around 800-1000, so if your FSB is 250 you want 4x. 250x4 = 1000.
