Help with £500-600 budget pc :)

Hi,

Im looking to buy a pc for summer for around 500-600 for gaming. id like to play at decent res on my 23".

i dont need a hd,os,keyboard or mouse.

I am hoping to get a amd x3 720 but am not 100% sure what a good motherboard/ddr2/3ram/gfx card/case would be to get.

For your budget it looks good, can't really do much better than that. The case is small (It should fit the graphics card and cooler though, but double check this), but is very good for the price. It's pretty much what I'd spec up.

if you want to save some money you can always go for cheaper mobo.
and you could get this for the vga card.

Here is my core 2 quad spec:

I chose the motherboard and power supply so you can easily add a second 4870 whenever you wanted.

Go intel far better for the money also why not try two 4770 in place of 4870 it comes to about the same price but should be quicker.

The Crossfire 4770 is pretty cool option with a lot of power (20% more than 4890) for not much money. However, the main drawback is future upgrading; if you go for a faster single card you can add a second card later when you need the power (and the cards are cheaper). So it really is a personal choice.
