Help with a 1950XT

1950xt help

Hi guys well I've an artifacting 7900GT which I am about sick of so I have £150 and am about to order

Will this run BF2142 happily in a dual core amd setup?

Card you linked to is a x1950 pro, although assuming you mean the one you linked too, then I found a review: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/pc-x1950pro-scs3_6.html#sect1

Think it's okay to link that, I hope It's not the same brand, but can't be far away being the same card (x1950 pro). Seems to do fine though in BF2142! But would you rather not fork out that little bit extra for a 8800 GTS 320mb? (just a thought).

Probably be worth someone else suggesting something good, maybe someone owning the card you were gonna buy (x1950 pro), but there was some post earlier on the forums showing 2x 8600 GT's in SLI kicking out very good performance for the price, if you have a board capable of SLI. You can get two of those for £140.

Given space inside my case i doubt I could fit two cards due to the bottom pci-e slot being about 2mm from my power supply ( btx case )

I think I will be suited with it, I would be happy with my 7900GT if it didn't artifact at BF2142 all over place.
