Help with a advent 8112?

the laptop powers up for about 2 mins then complety cuts out. i got a new battery and a new charger for it and still having the same problem.

Any advice guys??? :cool:

if the cpu is overheating how do i fix it ? and how do i reset the memory if its only powering up for a few mins ?

will try that mate its really quiet and not much heat coming off it its not actually mine bt id say 4 years old mayb more

the fan is spinning for around 2 seconds then stoping

tried the hair dryer and thiers plenty of air coming threw

yeah still cuts out with air blowing threw it, tried the silent mode button with no luck.

thanks will try taking apart the memory desktops are so much easier to fix lol

removed the ram and put it back in fan not spinning at all just shuts off
