Help with a blog / gallery site

Hey guys

I want to create a website for myself which has a blog / news site but also a gallery section as a separate link, and I want the gallery to be quite advanced!

any opensource projects out there you can recommend that can do this?

Wordpress seems good but doesn't seem to be that good in the way of a gallery!

You could always just run the blog/news part with wordpress and then install a nice advanced gallery system separately and just link to it from your site?

check out my site (#1 in my sig) is that the sort of thing you mean or do you want the gallery seperate. News scripts are easy to do in php. For the gallery if you arent great at php it my be worth looking into one, search the forums for simplegal it is simple and fairly powerful

Sorry to go totally off topic, but NaTe, your main logo (and logo div) was blocked by adblock, to get round this, try not to name images "banner.jpg/gif/png" as they are normally the first thing blocked with any adblock program. I try and use "logo", "top_image" etc to get round this. Thought I ought to let you know

ahh cheers! heh i never really thought about that before ill change it when i get a chance. Please also ignore the horrible use of tables i have no idea why i used them i normally use divs only. just had an off day lol
