Hello all, so I was planning a new build, mainly gaming with a lot of video editing and photoshop for its main usage. but also I am aiming to future proof it for at least 6 years or so im not sure about a lot of parts and was wondering what people would suggest. I have not done a build for a few years now so my part knowledge is lacking a bit atm. All parts can change, im not really set on anything just yet.

CPU: Intel I7 10700K (maybe)
GPU: GTX 3080 (not sure if its worth waiting for a TI and just using an old card for now)
RAM: 32Gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Pro
Motherboard: ROG strix z490-F (my motherboard knowledge is lacking)
PSU: Corsair RM750X
SSD (boot drive) 1TB Seagate Barracuda
M2 (program drive) 1TB Seagate Barracuda 510 M.2 PCIe
HDD (for all my stuff/files) 12TB Seagate IronWolf Pro SATA-III
Case: Coolmaster H500 (just wanted a flashy case, no bigger than 52cm)
water cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H150i Pro

thanks :D

intel chips not very good atm or something? Im a little out the loop
AMD have just overtaken them with there zen 3 chips, but the problem is availability. Price to performance should be a big factor so looking at benchmarks would be helpful

Ther is also the ryzen 3000 to consider which offer good value as the new cpu has arrived.

Back to your build

Take a look at the adata xpg sx8200 pro m2 offer excellent value for money with high performance .

ok just looked at it, yeah i see what you mean XD ok changed to:
CPU (Processor): AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Motherboard: MSI X570-A Pro
Awful motherboard

Get the msi x570 tomahawk wifi one of the best value motherboards, if you don't need Wi-Fi and a few extra ports then the b550 tomahawk is a solid choice
