Hi everyone,

Im looking for a bit of advice on a new build for a work PC.

My last build was from OCUK and done me well, its lasted me nearly 4 years but its time for an upgrade and im really out of touch with everything.

I need it only for work, no gaming.

I run a lot of apps at once, which are multithreaded web and socket based. The apps can make use of all cores as well.

I dont need a large amount of HD space just needs to be quick.

A good amount of ram, as most apps are ram intensive.

Im looking around £500-£600 with room to move if needed.

No OS needed either.

As i say im not up to date these days so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hii, thanks for the welcome!

No, i didnt think of that, thanks for pointing that out.

Do you think my budget it to low? i can move a little if need.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the input Admiral Huddy, appreciate it.

Everything looks good, just one quick question?

The 1TB harddrive is well overkill for my needs with this, prob a 100gb max will be needed. Im going to use my old PC which has 2 x 1TB HD for file storage, So i was thinking would i notice a big improvement spending a bit more and getting a SSD?

Thanks for your help

Thank you Reaper, looks like a good build.

decisions decisions :)

I will have to have a good read up on both specs.

Thank you both

Cheers guys.

Yeah the apps i use for work are custom built apps, that use all cores, and a lot of ram.

I think i will get the SSD as the apps will make great use of it.

Thank you for the help, i will ponder a day or two....which means i will get my credit card out tonight :D
