Help with a cable - inverter battery connection

I have an issue connecting a hybrid inverter to a battery storage unit.

The network cable that came with the inverter is not working. I have read online that I need to make a cable with different pin settings as follows

Pin 4 to pin 4
Pin 5 to pin 5
Pin 2 to pin 6

Only 3 wires are used.

I have tried this, when I put the cable into a tester, it shows that pin 5 to pin 5 is good. Pin 2 to pin 6 is good but it will not confirm on pin 4 to pin 4.

I have tried slicing open a patch lead and cutting the unused cables and joining the cables for pins 2 and 6. That didn't work either.

Please help me figure this out.

I am using normal. It isn't a bad connection. Using a multimeter it shows there is a connection.
