Hello,

Bought some RAM from here not so long ago (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-177-OC&tool=3) and also a MOBO (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-366-AS). PC kept giving me BSOD and after a lot of troubleshooting i found out the RAM is not noted as a "capability RAM" in the MOBO although the MOBO supports DDR3 etc. I was told this is most likely the problem. I'm just triple checking with you guys that it could be and how likely it is?

Ive had a master in BSOD working on it and he checked my dump files and everything and couldn't find anything wrong. Memtest86+ is throwing up like 11,000 errors and I'm told this can be caused by the MOBO having the RAM that isn't compatible.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Here we go:

http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr3_pc3_10666_platinum_low_voltage_dual_channel this is the RAM i have under the sub heading - "Dual Channel DDR3 - Optimized for the Intel Lynnfield Platform" "OCZ low-voltage DDR3 kits are designed specifically for the Intel® P55 Chipset and subsequent Intel® Core™ i7, i5, and i3 (Socket 1156) processors."

I'm guessing the one i need is the AMD one which is: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr3_pc3_10666_platinum_amd_edition ?

the way i did it was turn the pc off, take one of the sticks out and look at the part number. it should be on the sticker thats on the heatspreader. eg, mine is OCZ3P13334GK, intel one should be OCZ3P1333LV4GK and AMD one should be OCZ3P1333LVAM4GK

Yea this is correct
