Im sending my corsair h100i back as the fans rattle like hell and corsair have been out of stock for the replacments for a fortnight.

So i would like a Loop specced for my i5 3570k. i could buy the OC kit if we cant design better ( i have about 180 pounds for everything when i get paid)

I would like d5 vario as i wish to expand loop later.

a 240mm rad no thicker than the h100i or longer( my case limits me to this size for push config in roof, CM storm stryker).

A good res and all fittings and tubing ( im told compression fitting are best for new builders)

The fans i was looking at was

I know this is a tough challenege for the money but if anyone has the know how to help me out with this its the people on these forums.

The thinnest radiator you can get is a black ice stealth which range from 28mm to 30mm, which i think is thicker than the h100i's 25mm thick rad. Can you fit these in your case? What case have you got?

It is better to get a thicker radiator and just go with one set of fans than a stealth radiator and go with push/pull because it is much easier on the pump when you come to expand your loop. With the fans you have linked, the difference between push/pull and just push will be tiny anyway.

For your budget, i suggest you get the OCUK kit since it comes with fans and is great value for money.

What will your expanded loop end up being?

A EK 4.0 pump will be enough to run a couple of high flow blocks in a loop, i use to have one running 3 blocks and will go back to doing that this monday. They may have lower flow rate but they also have better head and could save you £40 if you spec your own loop, they also do not need a pump top.

i have the coolermaster storm stryker case

and im told the max rad i can fit with single set of fans on my roof is 30mm thick i want a good loop for my cpu only just now but would like to add atleast one water cooled GFX card later.

Im not set on the d5 vario id like it but im also aware of budget constraints and as long as i get a good loop thats better then my H100i ill be happy.

So if anyone can spec me a good loop with everything that i need and could fit in my Storm Stryker for 200 pounds or less id be a happy bunny thanks :)

the OC one v8 i think its is very nice and most deffo my goto choice if we ant build better.

a lot of the reviews and youtube videos say dont worry bout inner space as you can mount the rad and use fans on the outside and it will be covers by the outer shell/handle

Go for the V8, to spec a loop with parts separately would end up costing a lot more. The sp120's are good fans, the block is good (although i prefer a supremacy), the pump will be enough for 2 waterblocks and the kit comes with compression fittings. I would take the remaining cash and invest in some angle fittings to tidy your loop and make it easier to assemble.

I recommend you use software or a fan controller to keep the noise of the fans down. I have them and though are great, at full speed they are a bit annoying. Having said that, any fan with that much static pressure is.

Ok guys all going well tomorrow I should be ordering this and wanted to make sure there was nothing i have missed the fluid says pre mixed dut doesnt say anything about biocides do i need to buy that?

1 x Mayhems X1 UV Blue Premixed Watercooling Fluid 1L £7.99
1 x XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock (Intel) £51.98
1 x Mayhems X1 UV Blue Premixed Watercooling Fluid 1L £7.99
1 x XSPC 7/16" ID [16/11mm] High Flex Hose - Clear [1m Length] £2.99

Total : £211.08 (includes shipping : £10.00).

for a loop like that i wouldn't bother with a d5,go for a 4.0 or a 750 litres per hour as they will cope fine,as for radiators get the thickest that will fit in your case as it will flow better and will cool your cpu better

Josh its the overclockers premade kit all i have added is another bottle of fluid and some more hose incase i cut abit to short and the jumper tool for my slave PSU :) im told this kit is very good value for money and can be upgraded and my case is the storm strker by cooler master which chould be able to fit this in the roof easy if not ill either get it in the floor or mod the roof
