help with a new build

just built my new system everything was working fine shut it down for no more that 2 minutes and now its dead it seems as though there is no power going to the motherboard at all, no power to any of the fans or the dvd drive tried a different psu still the same results, anyone got any ideas

Have you tried clearing CMOS? If you have, check the fuse in the plug, that blew on my PSU once and I thought I'd fried everything.

Seeing as you have an ASUS board, try pressing the MemOK! button next to the ram. Hold it down for a few seconds and it should reset the memory to basic settings and boot up.

Is the PSU working? Connect just a fan to it (not anything else) and jump start it (stick a paperclip between the pins on the 24pin connector with the green wire and any of the black ones).
