The total comes to around £2000-£2200, a little over the budget but im workin on the money side of things.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thanks for the reply, I want the rapter mainly for the OS, i plan to have 1 harddrive just for windows. I dont need windows ultimate, technically i can use the windows i have, however its XP and i thought if im buying a new pc and i may as well upgrade to vista. however i could just stick with vista home. as for the PC8000 i was recommended it by a friend.

the compatibility is my main concern. also cooling, my room gets very warm as in the summer the sun is shining rigft through my window onto my desk which doesnt help and im not a fan of water cooling, not only the price but it seems to risky to me, however i havent really looked into it much, i just think water + computer equipment = bad.

I'd just go with Vista Home Premium if you are buying new and have 4gb Ram.

The Ram is fine if you are overclocking but if you aren't then it is slightly overkill.

You might want to look in the monitors sub-forum to see if there are any other suitable options that are cheaper.

I just read a few more reviews for the Graphics card and someone says it gets hot, I imagine most graphics cards get hot, specially as I do play a number of games. Can you fit a fan onto the card I’m after?

I’m not too familiar with graphics card fans but say this fan

Zalman VF900-CU Quiet Copper VGA Cooler
(http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SY-008-ZA&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=787)

On this card

BFG GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

It means more money however I won’t have my pc shutdown on me all the time in the summer.
