Work PC had to do a System restore (Printers would vanish and this fixed it previously), upon starting up after the restore the screen would instead go to the ye old "Boot from safe mode, last good known config ect ect" except it wouldn't allow you to swap or press enter.

Then would jump to Windows Boot Manager, "Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt"

\Windows\System32\drivers\tcpip.sys

Any info would be much needed. There are very important documents on here (so need to avoid a format / reinstall at all costs), it's also not allowing me to boot from the disc (changed boot priority in the bios) I'm fresh out of idea's.

So there is no way round this?

Will need an IT to pull files off the HDD and then format it and start again?

It has one HDD is the problem not within the Windows files on the HDD?

I can't get on to Windows to shift the files :(

We don't have a IT department so to speak :p

I'm in helping fix a work based PC :) Managed to fix the problem with the other PC with bios reset. I'm just baffled by this.

I gave up, I didn't have the time to stay and swap drives out as I have to work myself.

I'll either try tonight if I'm not too tired.

My Dad said he'd just phone up the people that look after the IT and sort out the IT for them.
