Help with Agp Upgrade

My pc is sorely in need of an upgrade, but im trying to eek out a little more life before crysis.

Spec:

Intel 2.4c@3ghz
1 gig ocz ram
6800nu

I wont really get much playtime until the chrismas break/ end of november, at which pointi am hoping to fit in company of heroes, fear and prey.

Seeing as i am upgrading from scratch with crysis and that i wont get much playtime until the christmas run in, what kind of graphics card could i match for an upgrade?

a 1950 pro- or would that be pointless because the cpu would limit it?
a 7600 gs on offer this week- or is that an equivalent to what i have?

7600 GT would make a nice upgrade from your 6800, but with the price of the 7600 GT (let's be honest it's a bit of a ripoff at £140 unless you can find it cheaper elsewhere) you may as well just get the X1950 Pro. Wouldn't bother with 7600 GS for the reasons you mention.

Otherwise save your money for your big upgrade.

thank you, i was leaning towards a 1950 anyway they seem pretty good value and it will allow me to keep chugging on until some proper stability with ahrdware and dx10
