Silly question so apologies in advanced but any help appreciated.

Just built a small gaming PC for the kids consisting of a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M / Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2HP Micro ATX mobo / EVGA 430 W.

This issue I am having resides around cooling. The motherboard I got them only has 1 additional Fan Header on it (excluding the CPU header).
I had bought the Phanteks PWM Fan Hub from here but when I try to power the fans through it whilst it's connected to a SATA power connection, doesn't work.
At the moment, have 2 140mm fans in the case, both being powered by that 1 motherboard fan port using a splitter cable.

Have a number of 120mm Noctua Redux fans I want to use but not sure how to proceed ?
The Fan Hub worked fin on my Z170 when it was being powered directly from the motherboard ?

Am I doing something wrong ?
Final note, the Sata connection I was attempting to use is also powering my Boot SSD Drive.

Thank you.

Not used it myself but i think you have to connect the fan hub to your to the motherboard(CPU_FAN), as well as the sata cable.

Fan hub has to be connected to motherboard PWM fan header. On our motherboard that is the CPU_FAN header. The Phanteks PWM hub is not a PWM hub, but a PWM controlled adapter hub for 3-pin fans. ;)

The PWM fan hub that comes with my Phanteks Primo needs a power cable plugged in as well as the fans and also a cable from the Motherboard. I don't use it because I have fan controllers at the front and tbh I could never get mine working either.

I've used several of these and all worked without PSU power. Of course they were using only motherboard header power so number of fan that could be attached was limited.
