Hey there,

I was wondering if someone could possibly give me some pointers towards upgrading my pc. My graphics card died the other day and I kind of need to upgrade most my pc anyway, so.

I was wondering is this a good build? competitor removed.
It gives £40 cashback with the deal, but I also don't know if I need the RAM, currently have some 1333 mhz (8gb) sticks. is this a particularly good deal? or would i be better off going with something with a cheaper mobo and keeping my current ram if i want to save a bit more money?

also can someone please recommend a decent gpu to go with this build? somewhere around a £150-£200 price range? would that be adequate to go with a 4690k without any bottlenecking?

cheers, joel

HI,

I have had to remove that image as it broke forum rules.

Hey, sorry about the link, i didn't think properly before posting :s

Thanks for the gpu advice, thats the main thing I wanted out of the way, and regarding motherboards, is there any real major advantage hardware wise to getting a more expensive one? or would i be better off going cheaper one like this? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-130-AK&groupid=701&catid=5

also is the ram actually going to make a major difference from 1333 mhz to 1866?

Z97 if you want a chance to overclock a K series CPU.

Whatever GFX card you get, check it fits in your case and the PSU is good enough. Any drives need to be all SATA too.

Retail CPUs come with a stock heatsink, if you have an aftermarket one already and it fits socket 1155/56 then it will also fit socket 1150.
