Hi
I have just bought a nice system, well I hope so, and I was getting well into the build when I came across a problem!!! I have bought an Antec 900 Gaming case with a Asus P5n MB and an OCZ Modstream power supply...... and the cable for the ATX 12v is too short, it just won't reach. What do I do now?
I hope someone has had this problem before and can help me out.
Thanks
Heath

You buy an extension.

Not being facetious,

"ATX 12v extension" and google are your friend. Am I allowed to say that?

Hi
Thanks for that, I thought Antec may have given one with the case and I was being stoopid or something, I never thought there would be enough demand for this sort of thing so that people sold them, but obviously they do. I will try and get one locally as I want to get my new system going asap!!!
Thanks
Heath

Hi
Just to let anyone know who has a similar problem you can get an extension lead for around £3 but I don't think OC stock them. I have been told that Antec power supplies have extra long cables to get over the problem. By the way the case is great and the system is fantastic.
Thanks for the help
Heath

ah ok :)

Am about to order an Antec 900 to replace my P160. I better check the length of my existing leads on my Hiper Modular 580w PSU

I've got the the same psu and it all fits OK. The problem, if there is one, will be the length of the lead and the width of the video card.

Thanks for the replies, to be honest i'm still going round in circles deciding on waht kit to buy (which C2D m/board is the most difficult!)

Am currently looking at the asaka eclipse 62 although i,m not convinced if it can cool as well as the Antec 900

Can't comment on the akasa 62, but the antec reduced my temps by 10-15c across the board (so to speak) and is very quiet - I can hardly hear it on medium.

I have to say I read all the reviews of it and I very much like the cooling on it. It's only my opinion but If I was to design a case from scratch it would have 2 inward fans at front, one at rear and definately an outake fan at the top. My only reservation on the 900 is it could have done with being about 60-80mm longer although I did read it can fit a 8800gtx but only just.

Well I'll be making my decisions this weekend for ordering on Monday for a build at the back end of next week. LOL, thats when all the heartache begains
