Help with BF2 crashes (Event viewer)

hi I have been playing Bf2 now for about a year and every now and then get crashes.

Mainly game just freezing and sound looping and i have to do a full reset on the comuter to start again.

Looking under event viewer only thing i seem to find is the same Error

My spec of computer is in my sig. No other game or anything else i ever do on the computer gives me any problem whatsoever. JUST BATTLEFIELD 2 grrrr.

Here is a screen shot. Perhaps someone can advise ?

mmmm, think I have sorted it,

lowered my overclock on my cpu from 274 down to 240 and just had 2 hours all fine with it.

possibly it was that then.

You know it might be my imagination but im sure you have said this is another post, i was gunna write a reply saying if you have anything overclocked cpu/gfx then to lower them because bf2 doesnt like overclocking! (Like hl2 with me)

Come to think of it i should have :rolleyes:

I have no problems with my cpu overclocked on bf2 at all.

yeah me neither (2.8/3.4) but if i push my 6800 gt to 410/1100 it doesnt like it..

Maybe BF2 just chooses who it likes and dislikes ? Anyhow, seems a lot better not i have knocked it down a bit to 2.4 instead of 2.7 ghz.

Will slowly work my way up in small increments though and see where the problem starts to show it's ugly head.

Nice to know (hopefully) that that is the problem for my game freezing as temps are fine, cpu during game never goes above 45*c and graphics card never above 65*c
