Hey all,

Looking to build a commuter and general run around town bike for a summer project.

Picked up a 2010 Seek 0 frame, and just looking for advice on bits to get to build it up as I'm from a downhill background so not sure.

Want to keep it super light, so looking to go single speed, will want hydraulic discs to, but want to keep things super cheap so looking to eBay and second hand parts mainly :)

Stuck on forks at the moment, any ideas?

Is it rigid forks you want? Kona P2s can be had pretty cheap.

You can get the basic shimano M395 hydraulic disc brakes from rose for £35/pair. They come euro style with the levers the wrong way round but it's easy to swap them and you dont need to rebleed.

Kona P2s look good, do you know if they'd fit the Seek?

Can't find any info on what forks it'll take online and haven't got it yet :(

Also the first time doing work this serious on a bike really, messed around before with brakes and stuff but never forks/headsets/BBs etc.

The only difficult bit is putting in a headset if it's not integrated. Everything else is just wielding a spanner, screwdriver, or Allen key. especially if you are going single speed.
