Hi there. i have a desktop pc, windows 7 64 bit, Quadcore Q6600, 2.4ghz, 4gb, ATI HD5570.
When i boot my pc it boots ok and to the desktop. After about 30secs i have a black screen with no curser or anything. I can use safemode with no problems, i have run all virus programs and reinstalled the graphics drivers and it is the same. I have updated driver from device manager and also rolled back, i have checked monitor res and thats fine, i have checked temps and volts using cpuid and speedfan and they are good too.

Vcore1 1.14v
Vcore2 1.81v
DDR18V 1.800v
+3.3v is 3.440v
+5v is 5.03v
+12v is 12.175v
current system temp is 32c
current cpu temp is 31c

Also when the screen goes black the cd tray clicks and the light flashes.

Any ideas? Many thanks Lee.

Hmm, almost seems like the system is rebooting.

Are you running any parts overclocked at all?

What make / model is you PSU.

Good PSU, can you try running men test (link below) this creates a bootable cd which you can run up during post and test your memory for any errors.

http://www.memtest.org/

Is possible to do a fresh install of the operating on another drive.

Just trying to think of the best options weather its software or hardware issues!

i tried to install fresh windows7 from cd but when i got half way through ( when the blue windows7 screen shows ) it went black again so i dont think its a windows problem. Also can you tell me how to use Memtest please as i am not the best with pcs. Thanks again
