Hi, this is my first time installing and setting up freenas. I have tried many different version of freenas and went through the options to install the software and it said the installed was succesful! When i go to reboot it comes up with this and goes no further! This is on many different hard drives. The only thing I can think of is that I might need to format the drive in Fat32 or something else similar???
This is what it says:

Invalid format

FreeBSD/i386 boot
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
boot: No /boot/kernel/kernel

FreeBSD/i386 boot
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:

Thankyou in advance!

I'm no BSD expert, but it looks to be a very serious problem having to do with its inability to either read the filesystem (my bet) or locate the correct directory within it. I would imagine that it is using BSD's native filesystem, UFS, or perhaps ext3 or similar. I don't know what fat32 would have to do with anything.

You'd probably be best served posting on the freenas forums, mailing list, or even an IRC channel. they7'd be more familiar with the software's intricacies. :)
