Last night I had a bsod issue, and up on restart, it wouldn't post, and the error message came up, about my cpu oc, was not stable so it reverted back to default ( 4.2 with oc genie ) After the reboot, all was sweet. That was up until about an hour ago, when it happened again, but this time I was putting the back panel back on, and one molex block is pretty tight close to the center of the cpu, and the boot drive sata power, and data connections. So maybe that caused it ? The code is a stop: 0x0000000F4, I have had a good Google about what it could be but am finding do many answers, and to do's, I thought here would be the best place to start .

I have installed a new 7950 , and 4 sticks ov 4gb ram. I'm not sure if this is related but Crysis 3 keeps locking up, every time that I die, the hold F button to continue screen opens, but that is it, it then crashes. I have tried lowering and uping the graphics settings it still happens. There is no oc on the gpu it is still at stock. I've done the whole driver change still the same.

The 1 main thing Google threw up was that an F4 message is ram, or hard drive issue, I'm in the process of running mem test, it is near the end and som far no errors, and the hard drives are all working properly. Any ideas ?

The machine was running fine before the GPU and RAM upgrade and they were the only changes made? Have you got still got the removed hardware?

I'd start by swapping back to the old RAM and checking stability. If ok the GPU is probably not the cause so try two sticks of the new RAM, then the other two.

It could be that with 4 sticks you need to bump voltages or back off timings somewhat. I've not upgraded in years so I'm not sure if that is still the case!

The game side of things has corrected itself now. I got myself killed god nows how many times in different parts of the game. And so far no more bsod's. I've got a feelling it was because of the molex block, pushing the connectors on the ssd. It all seems to be fine now. I will see how it goes for tonight and try swapping stuff around. cheers mate.
