Hi All

Needed to get away from Dell so decided to do a first build. I not a heavy gamer but i want to get a good system for work use and some moderate graphics. I will also be looking to overclock but will not require SLI. I may change to have 2 graphics card later so that i can output 4 seperate monitors.

Can someone confirm if the below will suffice? there are a few items which i am stuck on and will need some recommendations if possible.

CPU: Intel I5 3570k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 Water cooling
Case: Corsair 600T grphite case - was given this from a colleague as they were upgrading, i was thinking this may be overkill
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77-D3H is this ok or will i need the Z77X-D3H?
Ram: Crucial Ballistix DDR3 -2 x 4 gig 1600, C38 1.5V
SSD: ??? Crucial M4 128gig. any other recommendations? I was looking at Samsung 830 but no longer available
HD: Seagate 2TB
GPU: existing 1g ATI card from Dell PC (not sure on version, works fine so not looking to change)
PSU: ??? No idea yet but looking for a ultra quiet 600w reliable PSU around £60-70. read Seasonic tend to be better.

Any help is much much appreciated.

Thanks

CPU: Intel I5 3570k (good)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 Water cooling (for me not needed) good fan air will be fine for overclocks (Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler or Zero Infinity Phantom Knight CPU Cooler etc)
Case: Corsair 600T grphite case - was given this from a colleague as they were upgrading
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77-D3H (doesn't have 2x 16 speed 3.0 slots so could be better)
Ram: Crucial Ballistix 2 x 4 gig (need speed but yes there fine)
SSD: ??? Crucial M4 128gig. any other recommendations? I was looking at Samsung 830 but no longer available (any samsung 840 or Corsair Force GT, then again im using the adata 256 pro, work great for me and was cheap)
HD: Seagate 2TB (3tb not much more tbh)
GPU: existing 1g ATI card from Dell PC (number?)
PSU: ??? No idea yet but looking for a ultra quiet 600w reliable PSU around £60-70. read Seasonic tend to be better. (yes do agree) or BeQuiet Pure Power L7 630W or even corsair,, Corsair 2013 Edition Gamer Series GS 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-119-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 on offer this week so good price.

Thanks for the info.

Zakblood: the mobo 2x16 i guess that will be handy for future use.
Never heard of Be Quiet PSU. are they a good brand to go for?

joshcowin: which corsair did you go for?

Thanks Snips. I was eyeing up the Seasonic G series as well. Is 550W enough?

Also, whats your thoughts on the Gigabyte Z77-D3H mobo? worth changing to Z77X-D3H?

That'll be enough for one GPU.

650w should be fine for too.. The xfx is a good one.

The d3h is a great board and suits your needs. Though the Z77x d3h has a few new features and 2 x gen3 lanes..

Though it sounds like you won't benefit from Gen 3 too much.
