Hi,

Im in need of a kind of upgrade..finally! Main use is photoshop and the occasional browsing of the internet.

I have a 8800GTX and 750w psu already, DVD writer, monitor. So just need help with the cpu, mobo, memory, ssd, cooler and case!

Was thinking of going for the i7 950, Asus P6X58D-E mobo and OCZ Gold Low Voltage 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C10 2000MH memory. Havent thought about the rest yet.

Any help or suggestions would be helpful! :)

Hi,

- Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail

- Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard

- Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive

- Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel

- Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3)

total = £650

Case is personal choice.

Hmm, for SSD id prefer to go for the Intel, since they seem to be better from what ive read. Corsair memory is probably a better shout though! Also the cooler you chose is out of stock atm!

Sorry, forgot to mention, the PSU is for a different system where I upgraded the gfx card and so want atleast 800W, 750w just now

Bequiet or Corsair or Coolermaster silent pro are better than Akasa.

you running two GTX480's in SLI yeah?

Its a "Palit Revolution 700 Deluxe 4870 X2". I know I dont that much power just think that if I plan to upgrade later, I wouldnt have to change the PSU and the card aswell

I mean, between the Corsair 1000W and the Antec 1200W which one is better, since the corsair seems to be more expensive for less watts

you cant really go wrong with either of them
edit: just depends how much your willing to pay and how much power you need :p

Think ill go for the Corsair then, ill have another think though before pressing the Go to checkout button though :)
