hi hope someone can help my son has asked for a pc for xmas my budget is £500 pounds I have keyboard mouse and monitor just need os case and everything else the hard part is that he wants to play games on it fall out 4 rainbow six and the like and from a bit of research it looks like you need a good pc to run the above games so the challenge is can this be done on the above budget

Chosen the i3 over the popular Pentium G3258. Benchmarks show that at stock speeds the i3 clearly dominates the Pentium. You could overclock the Pentium of course, but that requires a better motherboard and cooling solution which for me at least, negates the benefits of the price difference between the two.
