Just dropped you an email and1fan.

Your talking about a decent high end Core i7 rig for that sort of money, or a i5 with SSD power running it.

Possibilities for £1000 are more than they have ever been before.

I think it's a little Pointless having core i7 if it's just going to be used for gaming  Granted you could add an SSD to the i5 build, but you'd have to skimp on other parts.

Imo my spec is a well rounded, balanced system, using quality parts, and would be perfect for gaming :)

Now you see personally I would opt to lower the graphics card down for a 5850 and use the extra cash saved to fund an SSD.

Makes games load faster, you will be hard pushed to tell the difference between a 5850 and a 5870 at all but the highest resolutions and it makes Windows feel a whole lot smoother.

well looking at i5 with SSD and I think some things will have to be skimped on for one even the SSD would be quite small in size, I ll have a look see if I can find a combo through

*edit here we go
