Im getting increasingly anoying with having to share this pc with younger brothers, so the time is near to purchase another PC soley for my gaming purposes. with a budget of £1000-£1300 (not the biggest in the world:p) so far im keen on getting;

Belinea 1925S1W 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-005-BE)
Seasonic S12 500W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply (CA-001-SS) - it has to be a seasonic for me :)
Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse - Retail (KB-039-LG) - are these laggy? i will need a wireless mouse or a keyboard with a usb hub so the mouse can be plugged into that.
Saitek PZ08AU Gamers LED Backlit Keyboard (KB-014-SK)
Lian-Li PC-V800 Silver Aluminium Desktop/HTPC Case (No PSU) (CA-065-LL) - looks like a great case and it can have a full atx mobo :D

- now the important parts -

DFI Infinity 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-020-DF) - does this follow DFi's normal standards of amazing motherboards?
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-128-IN) - i think everyone that has purchased a new cpu has got this one or higher :D

so far @ £735.43

Now,
im not sure what ram to get. there are so many i dont intend to overclock THAT much but a small oc wouldnt be bad. A cooler is also an issue as im not sure, i intend to run some kind of raid 0 setup 500gb+ (2x250) suggestions would be nice.

lol here we go,

ATi or Nvidia. keeping in budget i want the fastest gfx possible (who doesnt) maybe the evga 7900 KO SC? or maybe some kind of crossfire? i could use the x1800xt from this pc, but i only have a *cough* x600 spare in pci-e. lots of questions lol but i have to be sure. if all is well ordering for sat delivery \o/

TIA

I'd go for a G7 as the mouse, it is a bit smaller, a bit lighter and has swappable rechargable battery packs and there is no noticable lag at all, it just feels smooth.

For Ram I'd match a 6600 Conroe with PC6400, maybe the Geil on This Week Only or Corsair although that isn't on special offer.

Cooler would be an Arctic Freezer 7 as my suggestion or maybe a Scythe Ninja but the Arctic is cheaper and a good performer.

Graphics card I'd go for the X1900XT, it comes in at a shade over £200 and is an excellent performer.

As for running Raid0, I'd have to ask why, are you in the (select) category of people who would actually benefit e.g. you use large contiguous files everyday such as audio/video files? If not I'd suggest just going for one or two fast drives such as the Seagate 7200.10s and maybe put the Windows install on one drive and the swap file on the other but not relying on Raid0 as your only storage space.

X1900XT, Geil 2Gb PC6400 RAM, G5 mouse. Those would be my recommendations :)

Also, make sure if you buy a Saitek keyboard that it is the Eclipse one (black I think). The silver ones with the extra macro key pad thingy are not meant to be as good as their newer, improved sibling.
