I'm planning on building my own computer, not experienced but I understand most of it. I need help choosing the parts to meet my budget of £750. The main uses of the computer will be rendering and editing in HD, maybe playing some new games but nothing requiring top graphics cards although I would like a decent card.

After doing some research it seems I should be looking at an i5 2500k processor overclocked to 4.6 from here, and I would prefer some top range 8gb ram. As for an hard drive I'm sorted.

Thanks and I hope I've given a good enough idea of what I'm looking for,

Sorry, should've said earlier. As for OS I'm fine due to being a student I get it cheap and that isn't included in my budget, I'm also sorted for a screen, keyboard etc.. The only thing I have that's going into the build is the hard drives, so no case or anything. As for rendering video or photos, both. I'll mainly be using Adobe programs and Sony Vegas for editing, I know that the latest Adobe set uses hyper threading and so does Sony Vegas - would it be worth the extra 70 or 80? If it all fits in the budget then I would get it.
