Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a new headset for my PS3. I currently use my Samsung Bluetooth which i use with my phone, but i need to keep re-pairing between the two each time i use it. I want to get a USB headset rather than a bluetooth ear-piece as its more comfortable.

I've seen the Logitech Vantage USB Headset which looks quite good. Its the single ear-piece with mic which i think is ideal for the PS3.
Am i right in thinking that only the voice chat will be heard through the headset, and the rest of the game sounds through my TV.
Or will i be able to hear the game sounds and voice chat through the headset?

Otherwise i was going to get the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB which is the PC version, but i've been told that it works with the PS3 too.
The good thing about this one is that i can use it with the PC obviously, but it has controls to mute the microphone and adjust the volume.

Does the Vantage headset not have a mute button on it?

Which one should i go for?

Cheers

Yes, the Vantage's are great. A few users on these boards have them and yes, the chat will come through the headset rather than your tv speakers. Not sure about the mute button though. I'm sure someone will come along to clear that one up for you. Claimed btw. ;)

no mute on my Vantage headset, not a prob now though as you can just hit the PS button ingame and disable it from media bar if your not going to be talking for any period of time

Thanks for the replies, and for clearing up for me that the Vantage has no mute button. I think i am going to go for the ClearChat Pro headset, so that i can use it on the PC too. Also it has a mute button and controls for volume. Going to order it and will let you know how i get on with it.

Cheers
