help with choosing smaller case

it's filtered don't know its position i think its as far to the right as can go

All I can advise is that I go for a balanced air flow setup - with perhaps the edge given to positive pressure over negative (I've opened myself up to a mauling now by members who swear by negative pressure :)).

From your description you have that - 3 intakes and 2 x outtakes. Plus, you may benefit from the slight positive edge for the venting AIO.

But as you're flipping your PSU 180 degrees you could take the opportunity to experiment by moving the fan...

I will reiterate though - your temps are excellent. You have a notiously hot CPU running very cool and a GPU too that usually runs close to the 80s - and your temps are nowhere near. You're sitting pretty temp wise with your present configuration.

I'm unable to change config myself so rely on my nephew to do it when he's available, that's why I try to find out before he does it
Then, personally, I would just swap around the PSU (as you've planned) and observe the temps and perhaps make a decision once you've monitored how this affects the airflow/temps.

If you change both at the same time you wont know for sure which change has had the most impact - for positive/negative.

ok good advice thanks
No problem.

I would be interested myself in the impact on noise levels inverting the PSU from its present potions has on your system. If you don't mind posting back I would find your feedback useful - especially if you notice an audible drop in fan whisper.

My PSU fan faces upwards too and is the noisiest part of my system - I'm debating raising my case off the carpet and rotating the PSU 180 degrees to test if it dampens the fan noise to tolerable levels.

If not I'll replace the fan for the Noctua alternative - and if that fails a beQuiet PSU.

hi, sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm thinking of replacing my case again, it must be lighter and smaller than my current case,

cooling is more important, I'm disabled and suffer with back ache and am bed bound some days, my pc is on that desk and gets moved over to my bed when needed, so anything lighter should make it easier to move the desk

Yes, i remember - sorry to read things have not got any easier for you.

So, silence and cooling still key - but smaller with similar results.

What's your CPU cooling again - AIO rad size?

I've decided silent isn't important anymore and it's 280 aio, which I'd prefer top mounted if possible
The 280 rad may limit your choices - but will take a look later tonight.

Would you consider swapping to a 240 AIO if the case was more suitable or even quality air?

Quality air would have the added bonus of silence - as would not have fans exposed at the top of the case and should still keep things cool.
