Help with cisco 877

hello

i was wondering if someone could help me setup a cisco 877 for an adsl connection.

just having a few issues.

What are the issues you are having? (you may get more replies if you try to outline them, even if it makes quite a long post, that's what I have found anyways

just with the standard config

I an normally fine with cisco gear, but to be honest i have never setup up an adsl connection on one before.

To save time i quickly entered all the settings in the SDM to get the connection working; but this didn't work at all.

I have entered all the correct settings for my ISP (username, pvc settings etc) and it will not pickup an active connection.

Do you know if any guides on the web or a standard config i could enter in to get it working.

errr - you could try the cisco site and look at the docs for that model

Does the router sync up with the exchange OK? This is determined by the CD (carrier detect) LED.

i programmed it manually and it still wont work

I am redoing it now and will post the config

got it fixed.

really silly mistake on my part.

I didn't issue the dns server settings in the dhcp pool listing.

i saw the two entries below it and never thought of it.
