Hi, i have been having a bit of trouble with my recent build, mainly really weird temps being shown and also if i even set the motherboard up properly
The board i am using is the Asus P5k Deluxe, a C2Duo6850, Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 8500, when i built this computer i set everything to auto and left any settings on optimal.
cpuz has my memory at only 6400 speeds, and with core temp im getting 85c constant on the Tjunction
CPU Settings
System Settings

Temps on Prime95

Temps Idle

Does anyone know what options i should/shouldnt have on the CPU settings, and in the system settings what i should do to get my ram working at the proper speed....the manual seems to be written for people who have built a PC before and know what all these options do
And is 85c Tjunction a error?

thanks in advance

thought the Tjunction was the temp the core could reach before shuting down/damageing itself

(my Tjunction is 100oc on a q6600)

seems pretty normal your temps

download coretemp 0.95.4 beta, then the T junction will be 100, and your cpu temps will be normal, now there 15 degrees to low.
here is the link: http://www.thecoolest.zerobrains.com/CoreTemp/

as for the memory, set the ai overclocking on manual, set the memory manual to 1066,
on the chipset northbridge, set memory on manual. set the volts and timmings as mentioned on the memory

BTW, the t-junction that you see on core temp is just a mesurement tool that core temp uses to determine the current temp on your processor. With the E6x50 series and the new Q6x00 series the t-junction must be 100, with the older q6x00 and E6x00 series it was 85

Thanks for the replys
I set AI manual, then volts to 2.2, timings at 5-5-5-15 and the only frequency close to 1066mhz was 1067. Is that ok?
On the CPU settings page what should i have enabled/disabled, i'm running 32bit xp at the moment. The manual has no details about what they actually do, except page after page of what options there are for each one.

1067 Mhz is ok,
you can dissable C1e and speedstep, these are powersavings options. It just makes the cpu go slower when not under load, depends if you like that or not
